Welcome to the Cheshire & Warrington Sub-Regional Leaders Board
Working together for all of our communities
Welcome to the website of the Cheshire and Warrington Sub Regional Leaders Board.
The Public Services Leaders Board is a partnership which brings together key public sector organisations working across Cheshire and Warrington. Originally established following local government reorganisation of the Cheshire authorities in 2009, the Board is now in its sixth year of partnership working. Details of the organisations represented on the Board can be found in the 'About Us' section.
Our vision is to 'unleash the huge potential of our area, and make it the best place to live, work and visit'.
As individual organisations we cannot achieve that vision, or maximise its benefits, by working in isolation. The Leaders Board provides a platform for public sector organisations in our sub-region to identify and agree potential areas for collaboration and partnership working, so that along with the Cheshire and Warrington Enterprise Partnership (LEP) we can make the best use of the skills, knowledge and resources available to us.
Cllr Terry O'Neill, Leader of Warrington Borough Council is the current Chairman for the Cheshire & Warrington Leaders Board.
Cheshire and Warrington Devolution Growth Bid: The Board are aware of the Government’s policy intentions relating to devolving powers from Whitehall to the Regions and has now considered what this will mean for places like Cheshire & Warrington in the context of the greater clarity provided following the General Election and the subsequent publication of the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill. A Growth Deal Bid for Cheshire and Warrington Devolution has now been submitted for consideration by the Government and a summary of the key elements have been captured in the following paper: Gateway to the Northern Powerhouse.
