Public Service Transformation

Public Service Transformation Programme Board

The purpose of the Public Sector Transformation Programme Board is to implement Cheshire and Warrington’s public service transformation programme, ensuring that this is delivered within a strategic context, and reflects the opportunities and needs of the sub-region. The Programme Board is supporting the delivery of an overarching transformation strategy and developing individual projects to deliver this, providing strategic guidance, direction and operational support to a range of workstreams.  The Programme Board will drive forward new thinking in how public services in the area can be delivered differently; to be more effective, more efficient and to achieve better outcomes for residents, service users and businesses.

The Public Service Transformation Programme Board also provides strategic governance and direction for a number of key, cross-agency projects including:

  • Work to transform community safety services, which is partly funded by the Government's 'Transformation Challenge Award'
  • Improved coordination and integration in the delivery of health and social care
  • Workforce development activity including the Cheshire and Warrington Collaborative Leadership Programme
